My name is Rebekka Read, or Bekka for short. I was born in a small village in the North East of Scotland, and have lived there ever since. I have two younger siblings, one brother and a sister.

I love music and theatre, especially musical theatre! I love making friends and drinking a nice cup of coffee. I enjoy hillwalking, and am due to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa a few short weeks before I start my YAV year of service.

I am so excited to live and serve in New York City. I have never been there before, and I am excited to explore a new place. I am very much looking forward to serving God and the city of New York, and am anticipating all of the new experiences and challenges that will come my way. I know that i can do all things through Christ, and trust that God will lead me through my YAV year of service.
