Finally Arrived in NYC!

After a long and rather stressful journey, I finally made it it to the apartment in New York on

Friday 15th September! It was so great to finally meet Maureen and Juliet in person, and also reunite with Paige. We enjoyed some time to chat together over some delicious New York Pizza. However, after a long day of travelling, I made sure to get an early night.

On Saturday morning, Juliet took me grocery shopping. I think it is going to take me a bit of time to get used to food shopping in the US as everything is so different. Food is also much more expensive too. I managed to pick up some basic supplies to see me through the next few days.

On Saturday afternoon Juliet and I walked around Central Park for 3 hours. It was such a beautiful sunny day, so the park was filled with people out enjoying the sunshine. I was blown away with the size of the park - it is huge!! I really enjoyed connecting with Juliet and getting to know her better as we strolled through the park. Then in the evening, Paige, Juliet and I went on a walk around alongside the Hudson River in search of a night market. Although we didn't find the market, we still enjoyed the walk together.
